Cable Optimization

This tool generates plots to determine the optimal cable cross-section for tether-powered multirotors.
The table lists the efficiency of the motor and propeller combination at different thrust levels.
This data can be taken from the motor manufacturer’s datasheet or measured on a test bench.
You can select one of the provided motors, edit an existing motor curve, or enter a fully custom motor curve.

After inputting the remaining drone parameters, the plots are automatically generated or can be created manually by clicking “Create Plot.”
If no specific drone data is available, the “Load Example” button can be used.
If optimization for forward flight is not required, the corresponding drag parameters can be left empty.
To save plots as SVG vector files, right-click on them and select “Download SVG.”
